TOUCHING THE BORDER WAS HIS ONLY OFFENCE

BURNING PANJAB’s SPECIAL REPORT

March 11, 2006:

Touching the Border was his only offence The Ajit Daily of March 10, 2006 carries side by side two stories of contrast. In one story there is a group prayer for the life of Sarbjeet Singh the Indian Spy to Pakistan who has been convicted for bomb blasts in
Pakistan. We remember there was a lot of hue and cry for saving the life of Sarbjeet Singh. The whole Hindu nation was at his back recently. The president of Pakistan had to issue a statement on this.

Coming to the second story: It is a dead body of an Amritdhari Sikh aged about 80 years. He has been killed by the Indian Border Security Force. His only offence was that he went near the Barbed Border near Whaga between India and Pakistan. Obviously he was instantly killed at sight. No warning no signaling. It is a routine story here. Almost every week some one dies near the border. But more often it is a Muslim being killed by the BSF. Here is the photo of that unfortunate old man.

The killing is for a crime which in civilized countries would attract a punishment of not more than one year imprisonment.  But in the Hindu India it is capital punishment. Yes, It’s not wrong. It is daily happening and no one, no officer would question the BSF men. That is what makes Barbed Wire Curtain different from Iron Curtain of USSR and Berlin wall.

The USSR was hiding its Red Economy which now stands exposed. The Hindu nation wishes to conceal its shastra knowledge which should not be exposed to outside. It believes in the philosophy of 'if need be, keep the people befooled for any length of time'-Arthshastra by Kutiliya. We live in 21st century!
